Responsible for the budget of the Office of Academic Services, supervision of the administrative staff, human resources issues, departmental travel, payroll, and inventory management. Also responsible for billing, ordering materials and equipment for Laboratory Support and Instrumentation Repair clients.
Assists with the university-wide academic facility scheduling process for assigning academic and special event activities into academic spaces. Acts as a back-up for the Room Scheduling Coordinator, researches and analyzes the Schedule of Classes quality assurance queries. Serves as the campus functional administrator for scheduling software (25Live). Trains users on 25Live scheduling tool.
Coordinates and schedules course curriculum for all colleges and schedules meetings for departments for UAMS campus. Schedules for Education II, Rahn, I. Dodd Wilson Education, Institute on Aging Building, Cancer Institute, Spine Building 12th floor Fred W. Smith Conference Center.
Marsha Rood, BSMT, ASCP, CHS
Manager of Laboratory Administration
Laboratory Support is responsible for the direction and organization of the teaching laboratories offering curriculum support to the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Related Professions, Public Health and the Graduate School at UAMS as well as off campus visitors. Coordinates and maintains the locker management program in the Education Building.
Angela Comet, B.S., MLS (ASCP)CM
Provides support in the College of Health Professions Medical Laboratory Science student laboratories including laboratory and specimen prep, instrument startup, assists with student instruction, laboratory clean up, and teaching responsibilities as assigned by faculty.
